Good Morning,
Website and Email: We are back up and running! Thank you for your patience while we made sure our site and email were secure. As a reminder, requests for “Members only” will be processed every Monday and NO RSD emails will be approved.
Kades-Margolis: Please see the attached flyer from Ronnie Wenrich from Kades-Margolis. As a reminder Kades-Margolis is the PSEA endorsed financial advisor. HEREFORYOUPSEA1
Payroll Date Change: From the business office – payroll scheduled for January 1, 2021 will be paid on December 31, 2020. This needs to occur because January 1 is deemed a federal holiday and the Federal Reserve is closed. If we have a payroll with an effective date of January 1, 2021, the payroll will not be deposited by the Federal Reserve until January 4, 2021. Under our approach individuals will receive their funds on Thursday rather than Monday; however, this does put an additional pay in calendar and tax year 2020.
Revisions to Assessments, Certifications, Continuing Education, and Educator Evaluation Requirements: On November 25, 2020, Governor Wolf enacted Act 136 in an effort to address the urgent needs of schools, educators, and aspiring educators in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Elements of Act 136 impact schools, educators, and pre-service educators seeking certification in the 2020-21 school year. Changes fall into four main areas: educator evaluation; assessments and graduation requirements; initial educator certification; and continuing education requirements for educators, including support professionals. Please see the attached flyer for more info. 2020SB1216Advisory2
