The negotiations table team, committee, and PSEA Uniserv met last night. While combing through language in the past few meetings the realization occurred that we need to educate our members more on their rights and certain aspects of the contract. It was decided as a committee that each week in the Monday Message, one aspect of the contract will be focused on. We did not want current language to change, however we do need our members to start to speak up and follow proper lines and procedures if violations of our contract are occurring. Please keep an eye out for this in the Monday Messages. Depending on where we are at in negotiations, it was also discussed to use our Spring General Membership meeting more as a mini PD on your contract. The team and committee plan to meet one more time on December 12. Negotiations are scheduled to begin the second week of January.
