Fact Finding: The Association officially filed with the Pennsylvania Labor Board for Fact Finding on August 20, 2019. The timeline for Fact Finding is as follows:
August 20, 2019: File for Fact Finding with the Pennsylvania Labor Board. 40 CALENDAR days begin.
September 16, 2019: The Association and the District will attend the Fact Finding Hearing. Both the Association and the District will testify to any open points in the contract. Open points are items that the Association and the District are not in agreement to. We currently have 38 items (normally this is around 5)
September 29/30, 2019: The Fact Finding report will be given to the Association and the District. (Since the 29th is a Sunday we are unsure if we will receive it on the 29th or 30th.) From this date we have 10 calendar days to take a vote. As soon as the report is received by the Association it will be emailed out to the membership to begin reviewing.
October 3, 2019: General Membership Meeting. We will hold a General Membership meeting at the RHS Auditorium beginning at 4:30 pm. This will be your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the Fact Finding report.
October 7, 2019: ALL Monday meetings will be CANCELED. We will hold a vote on the Fact Finding report in the same 4 locations we used in May. They will be 12th and Marion, RHS, Amanda Stoudt, and Northwest ELEMENTARY. Results of the vote will be posted on the REA website.
*If either the Association or the District votes NO to the Fact Finding report, the report will be published publicly. We will then have 10 days to REvote (on the same report). If the vote would again fail, we would go back to negotiations and explore other job actions.
