Good Afternoon,
I wanted to provide an update with our newly lengthened closure. This morning I was able to speak to Dr. Murray about the expectations of REA members during this time. A plan is currently being created through the Teaching and Learning department. This plan will be vetted through REA before it is rolled out to staff. I do NOT have the plan yet, so I can not speak to it. I wanted to be able to give you all a “heads up.” Please understand it is within the district’s right to require work from home during this time.
The following are key points of the plan thus far:
1. Expectations will be disseminated through Central Office so they are consistent across the board and not piecemeal by principals.
2. The expectation of work is expected to begin Monday, March 30th.
3. There will be clearly defined expectations for each position within the bargaining unit.
If you have questions, concerns, ideas please KINDLY share them with me. This is not a matter that may be voted on, however your voice should be heard. We are also waiting for guidelines from PDE in regards to remote learning so some of your questions and/or concerns may be addressed with the guidance from PDE.
Be Well,
Rebecca
