Hello,

This afternoon the Cabinet members and all Association Presidents again met. You should have received an email from Kristin Boyd by now with the number one question on everyone’s mind which is pay. ALL district employees will receive their full pay and benefits during the time we are off. At this point in time we are definitely off until March 30. In regards to communication, all Associations have been asked to refrain from putting out information until AFTER the district puts out updates.

Questions: Association presidents are to email at 3 pm each day any questions they receive from their membership. Please KINDLY email me at president@readingea.com with any questions you may have. If I am able to answer them I will, if not, I will forward them on to the correct cabinet member. I will then email you the answer when I receive it.

Meals: A plan is in place for 10 feeding locations. This will begin on 3/18. They will be staffed by our food services/facilities/safe schools officers. We are pairing with community partners to provide more meals for our families. Once I have that information, I will forward it on so any staff member wanting to help out has the opportunity.

Pay: If for some reason you receive a paper check, it will be mailed to your home. Please make sure your address is up to date!

REA Scholarship: The deadline for the REA scholarship has been moved to May 1st. We will make adjustments accordingly.

This situation is ever evolving and very organic. Please bear with each of us as we work together to make very difficult decisions. I ask in this very uneasy time, that we remember to have grace and compassion with one another.

Quote of the Week: “The progress the world is making against the coronavirus is a beautiful reminder that we can come together and make a difference. May it encourage each of us to continue doing our part to minimize the impact and spread of COVID-19 in our communities.” www.goodgoodgood.co

Have a great week,

Rebecca
